April Craft Group


Another Craft group in April, though small numbers was just as enjoyable and members continued to sew the items from last month and some made some new stuff.
Sandra, Susan and Lynne made these items:

Sandra made a make up bag and inserted her first zip

 Susan made a tablet/book pillow

 Lynne had been having a go at Bargello Quilting with Rainbow Colours

Officers of Little Sutton Sapphires WI attended the Autumn federation meeting for Cheshire at Winsford today (3rd October 2017) Super event and we had our picture taken with John McCarthy who was guest speaker for the day! Sapphires 2019

Well we had our first meeting at the new venue and although it was hectic and it felt we were all running around like a chicken with it's head cut off it went well. Our Speaker for the night was Sue Wood who is a milliner/Hatter and as she describes it makes "more than just a fascinator", sue told us about her dream to make hats for a living and in 2010 she started the first step towards that. Members wore hats for the night and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Onward and upward for 2019
