Taster Table evening

Wednesday 13th April Little Sutton Sapphires had a Taster table meeting. This was to try to encourage members to join different events outside of the main meeting.
Taster tables where:
Gardening
Media and Public Affairs
Book Club
Baking and Cooking
Competitions
Events
Craft

 Here is Diane with her Events table. Loads of Pamphlets and ideas about going to shows and to lunch clubs for members to get to know one another

Members of the Little Sutton Sapphires have an event they are going to on 28th April at the Woddcote House Hotel. Afternoon tea with quizzes as well. There is also talk about celebrating the Queens birthday at this, by members dressing up in Red White or Blue for the afternoon

Well we had our first meeting at the new venue and although it was hectic and it felt we were all running around like a chicken with it's head cut off it went well. Our Speaker for the night was Sue Wood who is a milliner/Hatter and as she describes it makes "more than just a fascinator", sue told us about her dream to make hats for a living and in 2010 she started the first step towards that. Members wore hats for the night and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Onward and upward for 2019

Cheshire Federation Autumn meeting

Officers of Little Sutton Sapphires WI attended the Autumn federation meeting for Cheshire at Winsford today (3rd October 2017) Super event and we had our picture taken with John McCarthy who was guest speaker for the day! One of the Sapphire members also found a picture taken from the Cheshire Federation page where she asked members to find a Sapphire in the audience.
